About the Client

VISA Global Logistics is one of Australia’s largest privately-owned fully integrated logistics companies providing forwarding, clearance, warehouse, distribution and value-added services. VISA Global owns and operates 50 offices all over the world and covers over 150 more locations through its agents.

The Problem

VISA was located within an older style owner occupied property in Melbourne’s inner western suburb of Yarraville. Due to both size constraints and changing regulatory standards VISA needed to find a new facility and head office. The nature of their business meant they needed to remain in Melbourne’s inner west and required a highly specialised facility to accommodate their various service offerings.

The Solution

Cadence first secured the site in the constrained inner-western market to ensure VISA’s requirement for proximity to the port could be satisfied.

With our in-house Design & Construct expertise, we worked closely with VISA to conceptualise a bespoke layout which would fully optimise their operation and incorporated a specialised pavement solution to accommodate the high load rating requirement of VISA’s business

Cadence accelerated the program to meet VISA’s deadline and reached practical completion only nine months after signing the Agreement for Lease.

The Result

The state-of-the-art facility comprises a warehouse, a two-storey office, container hardstand rated to 125 tonnes and a conventional hardstand for warehouse truck access. The site is fully CCTV monitored and access controlled with refuelling and customs-compliant washbay facilities to fully service VISA’s needs.
