This facility, which is the largest industrial project in Sydney so far this year, will provide O-I with a floor space of 50,000sqm — that’s a surface area more than two and a half times the size of the MCG! This is an exciting opportunity, not only due to the immense size of the warehouse, but also because of the benefits this project brings to vastly improve O-I’s business performance.
“Our team has worked very closely with O-I to put the deal together and help them realise their vision to bring their warehousing on site,” says our managing director, Charlie Buxton.
The issue for O-I was the expense they were incurring in transporting their finished product several kilometres from their manufacturing centre to the distribution facility. By unlocking the vacant lot adjacent to O-I’s Penrith manufacturing centre, we have helped our client to optimise their supply chain efficiency.
Construction is now slated for completion in Q3 of 2020. To read more about this project, head over to the Australian Financial Review.
