Tom joined Cadence with six years’ experience in asset and acquisition management with a focus on industrial and office assets across Australia. In that time, he has managed the acquisition due diligence of over $250m of property investments.
Tom’s strength is in his ability to anticipate risk and strategically formulate value uplift during the lifecycle of developments, leases and investments, having managed and disposed of over $200m of commercial properties.
His focus at Cadence is on sourcing new investment, development and leasing opportunities, whilst identifying and mitigating potential risks before they materialise.
Tom has also worked as a qualified Project Manager after completing a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Project Management) with Honours 1st Class.
With a background in construction and project management, Tabitha Wong provides integral support to the management team to ensure the successful delivery of Cadence’s commercial and industrial projects.
Tabitha has previously spent time on site as a head contractor, as well as provided project management consultancy services to a diverse range of clients in various sectors. Prior to joining the Cadence team, she completed a two year stint with a public listed developer in Malaysia, gaining exposure to international markets and property development.
Using a hands on, communicative and collaborative approach, Tabitha’s focus is on creating value whilst meeting key time, cost and quality parameters.
With ten years’ experience in commercial valuation, acquisitions and development management, Mitchell is responsible for new business at Cadence. In the role of Transaction Manager, Mitchell’s broad financial and built form understanding enables him to communicate with a diverse range of project stakeholders. This connection across multiple disciplines enables him to effectively guide projects from initial idea conception and asset underwriting, through to completion and divestment.
Prior to joining Cadence, Mitchell worked as a Transactions Manager for Commercial & General, where the team successfully launched and managed a number of institutional funds across the industrial, healthcare and commercial sectors. Mitchell also worked as a commercial valuer for JLL, with a focus on commercial and retail assets. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting), as well as a Bachelor of Business (Commercial Property Valuation) from the University of South Australia.
An invaluable member of the Cadence team, Katrina O’Shea possesses over 35 years of experience in the accounting industry, 24 of which have been spent in the property finance sector. In her current role as Cadence’s Financial Controller, a position she has held for over three years, Katrina is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting department.
Throughout her career, Katrina has been committed to addressing potential issues and seeking solutions before problems arise using her enhanced researching and reporting skills. Previously, she held the position of CFO at Ardmillian Place and General Manager Finance at MAB Corporation.
Joining Cadence back in May 2018, Julie-Anne Kotowski has become an integral part of the company’s accounting division. She has worked within finance teams for over 19 years, with 15 of these spent in the construction industry at such companies as Project Group Construction and Walton Construction.
Patient and punctual, Julie-Anne is a dedicated team player and a proven problem-solver. She approaches every task with a positive attitude and a great sense of humour, and throughout her career has developed an innate ability to think outside of the box and discover new ways of processing tasks.
Since joining the team one year ago, Joel has become an integral member of the Cadence family. Thanks to his extensive background in accounting, legal services and digital analytics, Joel is highly skilled in financial modelling analysis and debt procurement.
His role sees him working closely with our Development Managers to ensure accurate financial forecasting and management reporting, and he has developed a keen knack for identifying issues as they arise in order to achieve desirable outcomes.
With a background in both development management and town planning, Jamie works with the Cadence team on end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management.
Throughout his career, Jamie has developed strong strategic acumen in dealing with land and built form property types. Prior to joining Cadence, he was in the Development team at Stockland, where he gained experience in the delivery of greenfield retail and commercial projects, as well as in strategic master planning for other existing assets.
As a Junior Development Manager, Jamie is dedicated to ensuring that every end product is workable and that project objectives are always accomplished to the highest degree.
Nick Crockett is Head of Capital at Cadence Property Group. He is responsible for leading and growing the third party capital investment management business as well as managing the procurement of debt for the Group’s projects and assets.
Nick has over 20 years of global real estate capital and investment experience having previously held regional roles based in Singapore. Through previous roles, Nick has established local and regional teams, leading the delivery of large capital mandates for clients which continue to prosper. He has had extensive experience in arranging both debt and equity transactions with a total deal volume in excess of AUD3bn.
Using his breadth of knowledge, Nick is able to navigate complex issues and problems. He also maintains a focus on achieving exceptional performance whilst appropriately managing risk for investors.
Mitchell Kent leads the delivery of development projects at Cadence, with a proven track record in built form assets and land subdivisions. With qualifications in structural engineering, coupled with sound financial and legal acumen, he ensures he continually mitigates risk while adding value across all of stages of a project, from feasibility to hand over.
Mitchell’s career started as a structural engineer before joining Cadence as an Assistant Development Manager in 2015. Since joining, he has played a fundamental role in the growth of the business and is now the head of the delivery team, being ultimately responsible for the completion of all of Cadence’s development projects.
Using his breadth and depth of knowledge, Mitchell is driven to unlock complex projects to achieve exceptional property outcomes.
Founding Cadence Property Group in 2014, Charlie Buxton is the driving force behind its exceptional growth and direction. Since its inception, Charlie has overseen the successful completion of $434m worth of transactions and development projects for a diverse range of national and international clients.
Applying extensive market knowledge to his own unique processes, Charlie leads a dynamic and well-resourced team that have built a project pipeline of $800 million.
Charlie has previously held positions at MAB Corporation and CBRE undertaking development, acquisition and consulting assignment providing expertise to both private and corporate clients.
Charlie leverages his over 10 years of experience within the property industry to guide Cadence’s vision to be a leading commercial and industrial property group within the Australian market.
