The first Australian 7-Eleven store was opened in August 1977. Today 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd. operates more than 680 stores in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and Western Australia.
Cadence delivered the project for 7-Eleven at its Maid Stone Business Park development in Altona. The service station was located on a 4,000sqm site and provided 7-Eleven with a fuel and retail offering. Cadence procured a staged planning permit for the site which allows for a drive-through fast food offering to be constructed on the balance of the site at a later date, and designed the 7-Eleven facility to maximise flexibility in delivering the second stage addition.
The site is well located for 7-Eleven’s needs, being at the interface of the industrial and residential areas in Altona, seeing in excess of 15,000 passing cars per day and sitting on the “home bound” side of the road on approach to Altona.
