The Solution

Cadence worked with O-I to unlock the site immediately adjacent to their existing manufacturing facility to allow development of a 50,000sqm warehouse. Cadence and O-I jointly negotiated to purchase the site and design and solution to achieve O-I’s distribution and warehousing objectives. Cadence’s in-house Design & Construct capability was paramount in creating an economical solution for O-I working with them from a very early stage to ensure the outcome was maximised. The Cadence team worked closely with O-I to optimize the ideal layout for their operation while concurrently investigating and accounting for the constraints on the site.

The Result

The resulting 50,000sqm facility is a landmark project for the municipality and will help ensure O-I’s long-term viability to operate in this location. The interconnection between the existing manufacturing site and Cadence’s development allows O-I to transport finished product directly to the warehouse to significantly save on supply chain costs and reduce the risk of damaged products. Through the close working relationship and early engagement Cadence were able to offer O-I a highly competitive commercial outcome that will see O-I gain significant cost savings and commercial advantage for the long term.
