Furniture and homewares retailer Early Settler will take up close to 38,000 square metres of warehousing space at an industrial estate being developed by Cadence Property and GPT Group in Melbourne’s south-east, in the largest such deal for the area in the past 10 years.

Built by Texco Construction, Keylink features office facades designed by Cera Stribley Architects, pushing the boundaries and challenging traditional industrial design.

Early Settler’s Chief Operating Officer, Simon O’Mahoney, said the expertise from Cadence provided peace of mind and confidence for the retailer along with Keylink’s location and specifications meeting all the retailer’s needs regarding storage and distribution.

“[Cadence] provided a comprehensive and concise process to achieve well considered outcomes, leaving us with no doubt that Keylink will provide an efficient base of operations for Early Settler,” said O’Mahoney.

“Most importantly, we were able to gain access to our new facility right on schedule before our critical occupation deadline of 30 September.

Cadence now turns its attention to the remaining half of the industrial estate, which is due for completion in early 2023.
